Responsibility and Health: Important Information for Students

Dear Students,

With the current flu season, we ask for a responsible approach to the health of yourselves and others. If you feel ill, please do not come to the exam.

Why is this so important?

  1. We protect each other: By coming to the exam sick, you expose your colleagues and lecturers to infection. Remember that not everyone has the same immunity, and for some people, the disease can be very dangerous.
  2. We take care of our own health: During illness, the body needs rest and regeneration. Forcing yourself to intellectual effort in this state does more harm than good. An exam taken while sick may be less effective, and you may feel worse.

What to do if I am sick?

  1. Consult a doctor: If you have symptoms of illness, see a doctor. A doctor's note is an excuse for your absence from the exam.
  2. Inform us immediately: Send a scan of your doctor's note to the email address aaugusciak@sum.edu.pl or kbugaj@sum.edu.pl. This will allow you to come for an exam in the second term as FIRST term.
  3. Come to the exam in full force: After recovering, you will be able to take the exam in optimal form, regenerated and ready for the challenge.

Remember that responsibility for your own health and the health of others is crucial for the functioning of our academic community. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

We wish you health and success in your studies!
