LABS:

On Tuesday, classes are held  in the CDiSM according to the schedule.

Lab 1: Genetic databases used in the diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases.

Lab 2: Pedigree interpretation – practical aspects 

On Wednesday, classes are held  in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. Building C1/IV floor. Room 400 according to the schedule - seminars

On Thursday,  classes are held in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. Building C1/IV floor. Room 400  according to the schedule.

Lab 3: Dysmorphology and its importance in the diagnosis of genetic diseases
The scope of the material for exercises in dysmorphology:

  1. Dysmorphology of hands and feet e.g. Adactyly, Clinodactyly, Clubbing, Polydactyly, Syndactyly etc.
  2. Dysmorphology of nose and philtrum e.g. Low hanging columella, Enlarged nares etc.
  3. Dysmorphology of eyes and periorbital region, ears g. Entropion, Telecanthus, Cleft helix etc.
  4. Dysmorphology of head, face, mouth, mandible e.g. Brachycephaly, Macrocephaly, Widow’s Peak, Prognathia etc.

On Friday,  classes are held in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. Building C1/IV floor. Room 400  according to the schedule.

Lab 4: Students give a presentation.

During the classes, students will present disease syndromes. Below is a file with specific syndromes list as well as a presentation plan.
Please, each of you, enter your name on the list of topics, which you will give back to the teacher to Tuesday. Presentations are assessed in accordance with the criteria set out in Table 1, which is an annex to the regulations.


ATTENTION!!! One person presents one syndrome.
Please note that each of the topics must be presented.

Lab 5: Final test


Credit is in the form of a test and covers the thematic scope of lectures, seminars, exercises,as well as the diseases mentioned in the attached list.

LIST OF GENETIC DISEASES REQUIRED FOR THE FINAL TEST

 

Final grades from the subject are calculated on the basis of the sum of which will consist of: 0.3 average partial credits, ie worksheet and presentation and 0.7 final pass (one choice test-40 questions).

Announcements for student
